With a background in graphic design and illustration, his expertise traverses diverse realms such as film, animation, storytelling, game design, VFX, and practical effects. Serving as President for ATOM SA, Leigh stands as a stalwart advocate for media education, leveraging the role to push innovative approaches and best practices in the field. Actively engaged in numerous film and media initiatives throughout Adelaide, he embodies a commitment to fostering collaboration, creativity, and excellence within the industry. Leigh's multifaceted skill set and passion for empowering learners underscore his invaluable contributions to the media education landscape.

  • Hal Bruce

    With two decades of experience as a Film and Theatre teacher, Hal has nurtured his students' creative talents by shaping educational programs focused on filmmaking. He has facilitated the production of numerous short films, allowing students to express their unique voices and stories. Hal's supportive environment enables students to explore scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, and editing. Through hands-on experience and personalized guidance, he empowers students to craft compelling visual narratives, fostering confidence and accomplishment. Hal's contributions to film education inspire generations of filmmakers to embrace their creativity and share their stories with the world.

    Sammy, a seasoned digital media specialist, collaborates extensively with schools in the United States and South Australia. Through his enterprise, Spice Of Life Media, he prioritizes instilling self-confidence via performance, film, and podcasting. Sammy's tailored programs empower participants to explore creativity, express authenticity, and develop vital digital media production skills. Through immersive experiences in performance, filmmaking, and podcast creation, he cultivates environments where strengths are discovered, confidence is built, and creative potential is unleashed. Committed to nurturing self-assurance, Sammy's mission with Spice Of Life Media enriches individuals' personal and professional lives through the transformative influence of digital media.

  • Rebecca Hunt

    Rebecca Hunt is a Secondary English and Media Studies teacher at St John’s Grammar. She is passionate about giving students the opportunity to develop their skills, build a portfolio, and have authentic experiences. This includes participation in competitions, from a long standing association with the International Youth Silent Film Festival to, more recently, the intense experience of the 48 Hour Film Project. She runs an immersive careers unit at Stage 1, and tailors Stage 2 assignments to students’ career aspirations. Rebecca is an avid trail runner, making on the fly videos of key runs, and has a running podcast Tales From The Midpack
